Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested last Friday (October 4) after a physical altercation with his on-again-off-again girlfriend Jen Harley. The couple, who have a volatile history, share 17-month-old daughter Ariana Sky. As a result of Friday's incident, Ronnie and Jen have reportedly split.

“They are broken up for good,” a source close to the on-again-off-again couple told Us Weekly. “Ronnie’s priority is his daughter, so [he’ll do] whatever he has to do to make sure she’s safe. He’s really aware of what the situation is with Jen. He’s now recognizing that the relationship is probably not healthy for him, Ariana or Jen.”

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the reality stare was arrested last week. “Officers responded to a battery in progress in the 7200 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at around 2:40 a.m.,” the LAPD’s public information officer relayed to multiple outlets following Ronnie's arrest. “Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers [were] on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred.”

Though Ronnie and Jen are both telling their inner circles it's over between them, Us Weekly's source revealed they haven't spoken to each other since the altercation. The LAPD issued an emergency restraining order against Ronnie after his arrest. He must stay 100 yards away from his ex until their October 11 court date.

Neither Ronnie or Jen has addressed the situation publicly, however, Ronnie's lawyer released a statement. “The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro yesterday is based upon pure speculation and innuendo," Scott E. Leemon said. "We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”
