The Illinois minimum wage went up to $11 an hour

This year is starting off great. The Illinois minimum wage is now $11 an hour. Plus, the minimum wage will continue to increase a $1 an hour on Jan. 1st until it reaches $15 an hour in 2025. The youth minimum wage rate will rise to $13 an hour by 2025. This is part of Governor JB Pritzkers legislation into law in 2019 of providing a path to a $15 minimum wage by 2025.
