Britney Spears was photographed out in public for the first time since the release of the controversial documentary Framing Britney Spears.
New images published by Page Six on Wednesday (March 17) showed the “Toxic” superstar stepping out with her boyfriend Sam Asghari and 14-year-old song Jayden for a walk in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old, who looked to be in good spirits in the pictures, wore a light blue sweatshirt, white shorts, and matching blue Birkenstocks while masking up with her loved ones during the stroll. Other images show the pop star, Starbucks in hand, posing for a photo with an Easter bunny display. (See the photos here.)
These pictures are the first we’re seeing of the “Slumber Party” musician, who has seemingly kept a low profile in the public eye as of late, likely as a result of the overwhelmingly supportive responses she’s received from fans amid her ongoing conservatorship battle with father Jamie Spears, which was further brought to light in Hulu's Framing Britney Spears project this February.
According to Page Six, Britney, Jamie, and her mother, Lynne Spears, attended a hearing on Wednesday to discuss the conservatorship over her estates, which are currently being overseen by her 68-year-old father and Bessemer Trust. Their next court date is scheduled for April 27.
Per reports, Britney’s attorney Sam Ingham III stated he intends to request that the songbird’s care manager, Jodi Montgomery, replace Jamie as Britney’s permanent conservator. Due to health reasons, Montgomery has stood in as Britney’s temporary conservator since 2019.
In a November 2020 hearing, Ingham alleged Britney fears her father. "My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father. She also stated that she will not perform as long as her father is in charge of her career," he claimed. "We are really at a crossroads."
