Swifties got everyone talking on Friday morning (September 23rd) with one of their new theories. It all started when the National Football League (NFL) announced Apple Music as their new Super Bowl halftime show sponsor after parting ways with Pepsi.
While their announcement was very straightforward and made no mention of any potential halftime performers for the upcoming Super Bowl LVII, one small detail reportedly made Taylor Swift's devoted fans light up the internet and they may be on to something.
The NFL dropped the news specifically at midnight on Friday and Swifties and sports news outlets alike took notice. Barstool Sports predicted that Swift would be the next big name to hit the Halftime stage.
While it's not completely uncommon for musical artists to release their projects at midnight (most artists shoot for a Thursday night 9:00 P.M. PT/12:00 A.M. ET time slot for new albums and singles), it is a bit strange for news about corporate sponsors to be released at midnight. On top of that, Swift's forthcoming album is called Midnights and she's been releasing new information about the release at midnight.
