Bryson Tiller serves up a plethora of feel-good vibes on his brand new album.
The Louisville native sheds the final remnants of his past and debuts his versatile powerhouse era on his self-titled project, which arrived on Friday, April 5 via Trapsoul/RCA Records. He kicks things off with melodic pop efforts like "Attention" and "Stay Gold" followed by his sultry collaboration with Victoria Monét "Persuasion." Tiller also taps into the Jersey Club wave with songs like "Random Access Memories" with Clara La San and "Ciao!" Later on, he gets into his rap bag with songs like "Outside" and "Rich Boy," which samples Rich Boy's 2007 hit "Throw Some D's."
Tiller's album also includes signature R&B hits like his "Peace Interlude" and "Undertow." It concludes with his previously released singles "CALYPSO" and "Whatever She Wants."
The Louisville native has been prepping his fans for a revolution in his career for quite some time. After broadening his horizons with recent Hip-Hop and Dance collaborations over the past few years, Tiller has proven himself worthy outside of the R&B box fans used to put him in. His latest album reflects the major shift he's made in his sound. While his trap-soul roots still linger, fans also get to hear Tiller flex his strengths in pop, dancehall, drill and neo-soul. He gave fans a fair warning when he shared the album's cover art and tracklist last week.
"The album cover's robotic alter-ego symbolizes Tiller's autonomous rise in the music industry—a self-made success, now reborn as something new, something more resilient," the caption reads. "'Bryson Tiller' is not just an album; it's a declaration of artistic independence and a tribute to the relentless pursuit of greatness."
Get ready to see him perform all these new songs and more when he hits the road for his U.S. tour next month. For now, listen to Bryson Tiller's new album below.
