RAYE lit up the room with her incredible performance of her brand new song.

On Wednesday, June 12, the English pop star hit the stage during iHeartRadio's Can't Cancel Pride 2024. After she was introduced by executive producer and host Raquel Willis of iHeart's Outspoken Network, RAYE delivered some opening vocals with a full live band behind her as she belted out her latest hit "Genesis." With the brief time she had during the massive show, she utilized every second to bring all three acts from her seven-minute EP to life on stage.

RAYE unleashed "Genesis" last Friday. Her fresh EP comes with the full version of the song as well as three separate parts. She explained the song is “both as deeply personal and as raw as I could find myself to be about my own mind and the world I see around me."

“There is a Nina Simone quote, ‘It is an artist’s duty to reflect the times,'" RAYE said in a statement. "This quote is everything to me and I believe the best way I can try to do this is through my art and my music,” she added. “The song is a seven-minute piece that I have crafted and scrutinised over the last year and a half, experimenting with different genres and sonic expressions, beneath all the layers and the lyrics, the underlying message is ‘Let There Be Light.’"

If you missed out on this rare performance, Can't Cancel Pride will be available to stream on iHeartRadio's YouTube and Facebook pages, Hulu, and on Revry throughout Pride Month.

In addition to the song, RAYE also debuted a short film that instantly captures fans from the moment they press play. Watch the official video for "Genesis" below.
