The January 8th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show hit a little close home with the appearance of two very special guests.
The "Since You Been Gone" songstress welcomed her children, River, 10, and Remy, 8, (whom she shares with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock) onto the show for a bit of family fun and to discuss Remy's viral singing moment.
"So y'all may remember a couple weeks ago I had my kiddos River and Remy on set. Thats a cool perk we get as a family when the show tapes on a Saturday. Like their mama both my kids love to sing and when Remy got to set, he surprised us. He wanted his chance at the microphone and he literally said 'Who do I have to talk to to sing my song?'"
The video of Remy singing Frank Sinatra's "My Way" (with River's support of course) went viral, so Clarkson welcomed her kids on set once again and Remy performed the full song this time. The siblings also sat down with their mother for a quick interview, diving into their creative outlets.
Remy revealed that he chose to sing the Frank Sinatra classic because he "just likes it," and River and Kelly confirmed that they've heard him sing it at home "too many times to count." As for River, she's very interested in songwriting, and keeps all of her thoughts in a journal.
"I like to write and I like to sing and I put that together in a journal that I forgot at home because I am a forgetter in my family. But I do that a lot in my room and I spend hours and hours and hours singing and trying to do a song."
