The Bahamas Closing Its Border To American Tourists Over COVID Concerns

Looks like another country has closed its borders to American tourists. The Bahamas will no longer let U.S. tourists into the country, this just 3 weeks after they reopened their borders to international tourists.

According to the Miami Herald, the Bahamas is citing the rise in U.S. COVID-19 cases as their reasoning.

"Bahamasair, the country’s national carrier, will cease all outgoing flights to the United States immediately, Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said in a national address Sunday."

U.S. tourists who are already in the Bahamas are allowed to leave via departing flights up until Wednesday of this week. Visitors from the European Union, the U.K., and Canada will still be permitted to travel to the Bahamas as long as they are accompanied by a negative COVID-19 RT PCR test.
