We are less than a year away from the Tokyo Olympics which were postponed, until July 2021, due to COVID-19...like everything else in the world. Although there is still a lot of questions as to how long we'll be dealing with this pandemic, the Olympics are planning to move forward no matter what.
John Coates, the Vice-President of the International Olympic Committee, says the games will go ahead "with or without Covid."
He also stated "Now very much these will be the Games that conquered Covid, the light at the end of the tunnel."
Obviously, there is so much planning that goes into the Olympics so, they have to move forward with their plans so they're ready when the time comes. Do you think it's too soon to make this statement? Maybe it will be an Olympics without fans like other sports.
