One of my favorite movies released in the last year!
Zootopia took home the Oscar for "Best Animated Feature" this year and brought in more than $1 Billion globally at the box office.
Seems like we see this a lot; major successes always get hit with lawsuits. Is there always someone to blame, or is it people just trying to get some $$$?
In this case, Gary Goldman (Total Recall) claims he pitched his version of Zootopia to Disney twice, he was told they weren't interested and then went ahead and made is movie. Read more below.
But Disney is fighting back, and plans to defend themselves!
“Mr. Goldman’s lawsuit is riddled with patently false allegations, it is an unprincipled attempt to lay claim to a successful film he didn’t create, and we will vigorously defend against it in court.” - Disney (via Deadline)
