As many Potter fans know, today (May 2nd) is the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts....so lets all raise our wands to those we lost.
To commemorate this important day in magical history, J.K. Rowling took to twitter to apologize for the death of Severus Snape.
OK, here it is. Please don't start flame wars over it, but this year I'd like to apologise for killing (whispers)... Snape. *runs for cover*— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2017
But this isn't the first time she's apologized...and considering how many great wizards (and house elves) have passed, I don't think it will be the last!
Today I would just like to say: I'm really sorry about Fred. *Bows head in acceptance of your reasonable ire*— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2015
Once again, it's the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts so, as promised, I shall apologise for a death. This year: Remus Lupin.— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2016
If you're not already in the middle of a Harry Potter marathon, tonight might be a good night to start!
