I LOVE going to the movies! It's one of my favorite things to do, and I'd choose going to the theater over watching a movie at home every single time! That being said...MoviePass might just become my new best friend!
MoviePass is a service that would allow you to see a movie everyday and only pay $9.95 per month!
And for obvious reasons...people are excited about it. So much so, that their website crashed!
We're pumped that you're excited about our $9.95 plan!! Thx for your patience as we work to get the site/app back up and running! pic.twitter.com/f43FhqmtZN— MoviePass (@MoviePass) August 15, 2017
MoviePass is available in about 90 percent of all U.S. theaters, including AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas and Cinemark. Although, AMC is threatening legal action against MoviePass to prevent being part of the subscription.
MoviePass honestly sounds like the best thing ever, but I'm still perplexed by how this is possible.

I'm baffled by this concept.— Kevin McCarthy (@KevinMcCarthyTV) August 15, 2017
With restrictions (i.e. 3D, IMAX), you can go to the cinema once a day for less than than $10 a month?!?
There has to be a fine print...— Kevin McCarthy (@KevinMcCarthyTV) August 15, 2017
So could you see 365 films, 1 per day, for around $120?!?
How is that possible? Am I missing something?
I'm all for it because it promotes people going to the actual cinema.— Kevin McCarthy (@KevinMcCarthyTV) August 15, 2017
Nothing will ever match that experience.
Seems too good to be true.
The company is being run by Netflix co-founder and former Redbox executive Mitch Lowe, so I've got to assume it's legit! Check out their website to find out more and try it for yourself.
