I'm a big advocate for the no photo/video rule at concerts. Be honest, you're not going to look back at that video with terrible sound quality! If you want to take literally a couple photos, maybe one photo, fine. But I can't stand when people have their phones out the entire show! Enjoy the moment for what it is! They artist is right in front of your face, and no photo or video will be as good as that experience, savor it. I also feel that it shows a lack of respect for the artist. They're performing FOR YOU. It's kind of like trying to have a conversation with someone who's on their phone the whole time.
This lack of respect though is at another level. I know at some shows, bands don't mind if fans run on stage to stage dive. But if you're going to do that, you need to stay out of the way of the band...and you definitely shouldn't interrupt them when they're performing. You can hear boos from the crowd and you see that Jacob Bannon, the singer for Converge, is not happy. The band just stops performing completely.
The only redeeming factor is this guy fell straight to the ground when trying to stage dive.
