You don't have to break the bank in order to enjoy a delicious dish that doesn't compromise on flavor just because it comes with a lower price tag. Plenty of restaurants offer diners options that pack a punch for a small price, giving them the biggest bang for their buck.

Cheapism searched for the best "cheap eats" around the country and compiled a list of the top dish in every state that will cost $12 or less, from gooey, chocolatey desserts to regional takes on classic dishes. According to the site, the best inexpensive dish in all of Missouri is the chicken parm sandwich served at Fozzie's Sandwich Emporium in St. Louis, with the similar sammy found at Grassi's, also in St. Louis, named the runner-up. This flavorful offering combines all the best parts of chicken parm into one must-try sandwich.

Here's what Cheapism had to say about the best cheap dish in Missouri:

"Try this St. Louis specialty when in the Italian neighborhood of the Hill, where the chicken parm doesn't have to be so formal. Fozzie's serves up a massive sandwich for $10, while Grassi's Becky Debby (or chicken parm) has been a longtime favorite."
